I'm Dr. Mona Wiggins, I'm so glad you're here.
I am a 5th generation New Mexican, passionate world explorer, wise woman, doctor, nurse, yogi, healer, nature lover, dancer, belly laugher, and fierce lover of all things related to women’s health, Human Design, the Divine Feminine, self-love, and our healing journey as souls on this earth.
I grew up in a low-income home, largely with a single mother, in a culturally diverse community in southern New Mexico. Through my upbringing I learned the values of optimism and resilience. I was taught that education is the one thing no one can ever take away from you, that my value is not skin deep, and that my womanhood is to be valued and not looked down upon.
My heart was drawn to women’s health and healing from a young age and I always felt called to work that allowed for and honored our innate healing capacity. I have worked in various healthcare settings - from inpatient to outpatient, private practice to community health, in-person to virtual/telehealth, school-based health centers, and homeless youth clinics and now, of course, own my own practice and wellness-centered business. I have spent time in medical communities across the US, South Africa, Kenya, and India. But in each traditional setting I found my heart yearning to be able to more holistically support both myself and my patients - a desire to honor our health and healing journey through wellness, self-love, self-worth, and ancient practices of the wise women that came before me.
After working 14 years in the traditional western medicine community, I felt defeated and disgusted by the reactive focus of primary care and the consistent focus and expectation that there should be and is “a pill for every ill”. As a woman, I saw my needs and those of my patients consistently dismissed, our desires for holistic, preventative health scoffed at, our symptoms and concerns ignored as our health worsened. I decided I had enough! I had seen the impact natural, herbal, traditional wise woman medicine had brought to my own life and knew this was my soul's purpose and I could no longer ignore or push down this calling.
And from this space I birthed Medicine with Mona, a wellness business dedicated to the education, empowerment, expansion and guidance of other womb holders. My passion is helping others re-discover the power, sovereignty, and deep wisdom they already have within while expanding their ability to heal and support their bodies through traditional Wise Woman Practices.
After living across the US and in Colombia over the past 10 years, my soul recently felt a calling to leave the Pacific Northwest and move to Asheville, NC to be closer to family. As my soul evolves I find it important to continue to explore its healing, its truths, the infinite nature of the Universe and my giftings as well as that of my clients.
Some additional fun facts about me - I am a Capricorn sun/Taurus moon/Scorpio risings + Human Design Manifestor. In my spare time I love to embroider, macrame, read about women’s health + spirituality, enjoy regular hikes, walks by the river, and explore new restaurants + microbreweries while enjoying the beauty that my community and my surrounding environment has to offer.

I am Dr. Mona Wiggins
I’m a nurse practitioner with over 15 years of medical experience.
I have my bachelors, masters and doctorate in nursing and am also a trained integrative health practitioner and certified fertility awareness + sexual and reproductive health educator.
After decades of struggling with my own gut, hormone, and mental health struggles I found herbal and root cause medicine, fertility awareness, and+Human Design. Combined, these practices radically transformed my life, my health, and my beliefs surrounding what true wellness is.
Through this experience I committed to shifting my medical practice and began to seek deeper education in yoga, Human Design, integrative, functional, and herbal medicine, fertility awareness and sexual and reproductive health.
And from this beautiful marriage of western + eastern practices,
I founded Medicine with Mona, a wellness business dedicated to the education, empowerment, expansion + guidance of other womb holders.
My passion is helping others re-discover the power, sovereignty, and deep wisdom they already have within while expanding their ability to heal and support their bodies through traditional Wise Woman Practices.

Our knowledge of our body + our relationship to it is one of the most intimate areas of life. I believe when we have the education to understand what is going on within our bodies + souls we can begin to identify patterns and cultivate increased love, connection + self-awareness within our daily journeys. This shift in our personal perspective, how we care + show up for ourselves, can then radiate and overflow to our families, loved ones, communities. An internal change that makes ripples and a larger loving + more present awareness in the world as a whole. Change begins within + from a FULL cup, it can't help but to flow outside of us!
I’m delighted to be offering FAM, cycle coaching, Divine Femine guidance, holistic health support, and Human Design readings from a loving heart space; to teach you about your body, your hormones, your soul, the common physical symptoms, energetic shifts, and emotions women experience; to offer resources that will support + add ease and empowerment in your journey.
The most important thing to me is that you know + feel that you are divine, perfect as you are, a beautiful, radiant being that is SO deserving of anything + everything you desire. YOU ALREADY HOLD THE WISDOM + POWER WITHIN, I am merely a guide in your re-remembering! I will hold you with care + kindness. And I trust you’ll leave our work together with a more loving, empowered knowledge and appreciation of yourself, your fellow womb holders + the unique space we each hold in this world.
